24 Responses to “George Lucas On The Evolution”@kirbsmeister2 This animosity is not directed at you. I’m just saying that it sounds a lot less sexy to say you’re going to see a big video, than a “film” even though it’s true.
@BunnyMan456 In many parts of the world “film” means movie. I’m in the UK and I go to watch a ‘film’ even though it’s technically digital. Not really an error IMO.
I hate this man. And by the way “Digital Film” does not exist.
@malows1234 I couldn’t have said it better myself!!!
Thanks for caring.
The precuels where bad, acting and story, there was no soul in them, and dont let me start on the fucking midiclorians.
“Special Effects are just a tool. A means of telling a story. People tend to confuse them as the end itself.” – George Lucas. It’s so sad to read this quote, and then look at him now.
1st 3 Star Wars (last 3) were good, the rest were utter shit, they would have made better cartoons than actual movies considering the amount of CGI in them. The scripts were shit, the acting was shit. Nuff said.
But what about puppets!??!
@malows1234 I kinda agree with you, I hated the prequels but he has done good things. Its a love/hate thing for me.
@malows1234 well he directed American Graffiti which was a big hit, and if it wasn’t for his special effects company movies like Jurassic Park wouldn’t have been as good. oh and he helped Create Indiana Jones!
@ninelivecat absolutely nothing monumental. but here is the thing, i have done nothing and i am rightfully not called a legend or touted to have a legacy. i am a simple guy with a simple job living life. but noone gives UNDESERVED praise of having a legacy. see the difference? lucas hasn’t done shit, He got lucky with star wars, it was a complete fluke, no way in hell someone with talent made phanthom menace. NO WAY. lucas is a greedy fat bussinessman, nothing more. all his fanbois should stop.
@malows1234 Ok so what have you done hotshot ?
@tvmessiah his legacy includes re-releasing the same movie 89 times while his bank account gets bigger and bigger. if there ever was a sellout in film, goerge lucas takes the crown by a long shot. anyone who calls this man an artist has their head up their ass. YOU KNOW I AM RIGHT. he made one good film, ONE SINGLE FILM. he didn’t even direct the others, and the prequels he did direct were horseshit. COME ON DEFEND HIM, if thats possible. mozart on the other hand wrote masterful symphonies.
@ninelivecat lol his legacy, his legacy includes re-releasing the same movie 89 times while his bank account gets bigger and bigger. if there ever was a sellout in film, goerge lucas takes the crown by a long shot. anyone who calls this man an artist has their head up their ass. @tvmessiah mozart was a beautiful artist, george lucas is man who has billions of dollars and choses to spend it on ruinings an art form and buying bland trainers
@TheRichcolours 1080p has really already been replaced, I don’t see 5k being replaced anytime soon, purely because consumeras are stick stuck at 1080
People comparing digital and film are retarded. These are two very different mediums. One exists. one doesn’t. Digital is irrelevant to human beings as we are analog beings. We can not interpret a digital file without a machine. So what is the point. Cinema, culture and the arts has been cheapened greatly by this apparent ‘digital revolution’.
All your 5K, Red, 1080p etc etc…. are going to be obsolete in 10 years. So get over it.
@tvmessiah ahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahaahhahahahaahhaahahahahahahahahaha. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh kay
Worried about money? He hasn’t walked into Toys R’ Us.
Star Wars was good back when they were forced to use their creativity to make the magic happen. Nowadays you just need a big render farm.
How about: George Lucas on meatball fucking heroes. That’d be more interesting than hearing this guy voice his opinion on anything having to do with filmmaking.
Has anyone closely looked at a single frame of 35mm projected on a theater screen. It’s horrible quality. The only way you muddle past the bad quality is through the constant stream off images at 24fps. True Imax film, on the other hand, is exceptional. It’s the difference between 35mm and medium format. Digital overcomes the bad quality of 35mm, but not Imax.
Worried about money?! You sunuvabitch I bought like ten of your toys. You do know what you charge for them right?!
